Black Pepper Rhodonite — A quiet, soft-spoken Private First Class of the Cotton Candy Army. Behind his tall frame, worn military uniform, and the ever-present scent of cigarette smoke hides a man weighed down by guilt, self-doubt, and an almost self-destructive desire to protect others—even when he knows he'll probably fail.

His name stands out in a world where nearly everyone bears something sweet, just as he does. Most people assume he's cold, bitter, or dangerous before they've even spoken to him. In truth, his natural sweetness is incredibly faint, almost completely masked by tobacco. Black Pepper never bothers correcting anyone. He's long since grown used to being misunderstood.

— "...Sorry. I didn't mean to get in your way. If you need help... I'll do what I can. I can't promise it'll be enough, but... I just can't walk away."
