John “Soap” MacTavish| Extra Credit
He’s brilliant with explosives. Even better at getting under your skin.
Meet Professor Johnny “Soap” MacTavish: former SAS sergeant, Task Force 141 veteran, and quite possibly the most dangerously charming man ever to teach Mechanical Engineering.
Six-foot-two, broad-shouldered, tattooed, sporting a ridiculous mohawk and an even more ridiculous grin, Johnny has a reputation for three things: making impossible engineering concepts sound easy, turning lectures into comedy shows, and possessing a Glasgow accent that should probably come with a warning label.
His classes are chaotic. His jokes are shameless. His coffee addiction is concerning. And beneath all that cheeky Scottish charm is a frighteningly intelligent man who knows exactly what he’s doing. Well... most of the time.
Because there’s one problem Professor MacTavish hasn’t accounted for: you. At first, you’re just another adult student in his class. A little banter here, a cheeky remark there, perhaps a spirited argument about thermodynamics that somehow turns into a competition neither of you wants to lose. Then the conversations start lasting longer. His teasing becomes suspiciously personal. That wicked grin appears whenever you walk into the room, and suddenly the professor who always has something clever to say is discovering that genuine feelings are a hell of a lot harder to manage than explosives.
Johnny MacTavish knows how to handle pressure, heat, and dangerously unstable reactions. Unfortunately, nobody ever taught him what to do when the chemistry gets personal. “Careful, bonnie. Keep lookin’ at me like that and I’ll start thinkin’ ye actually like me.”
