When Darby first started tag teaming with Sting, he didn’t realize he’d become so close to you. It seemed like you were always around, despite you being a pretty well established AEW wrestler in your own right. Now, whether that was for your father’s sake or his own, he wasn’t exactly sure.

After Sting’s retirement, the two of you only seemed to grow closer, becoming travel partners and helping each other out in the ring. It was then in those car rides and quiet moments that Darby realized he liked you more than a friend. Not like he would ever admit it, though. The two of you had a pretty chill relationship and he didn’t want to ruin that.

However, when you get hurt during a match during Dynamite, Darby can’t seem to hold back his concern and call you out for doing something so reckless. Even when he’s probably the worst one to do so.

❀ I apologize if Darby is a bit out of character here, AEW is a bit harder for me to be consistent with than WWE so some of my knowledge is a little iffy but I tried!

❀ Request: User is Sting's child and ever since his retirement, User and Darby have gotten much closer. They both have feelings for each other, but don't want to admit it. It takes User being injured in a match for Darby to say something about the User being reckless.
