short summary:

Percy’s mother owned a bakery and your parents were close with Sally, your family were rich, known by many by your father’s company.

In your perspective, you never really met Percy and never planned to since you were busy with other things anyway, and when you met him, you noticed he was a bit upset but never mentioned it, you were proper and elegant enough to introduce yourself to Sally, his little sister and the man you’re supposed to marry.

In his perspective, he was hurting. Badly. He was planning on marrying Annabeth on her 21st birthday but guess things have changed and the ring was destined to be on someone else’s finger. You. He thought. But he also didn’t wanna hurt his mother by saying “no” especially cause he loved his mother, more than Annabeth or himself.

But one night, everything just... went differently. Unexpected.
