the great powers seeing an opportunity to get an ally in the region wished to influence the fledgling state, however the United imperium couldn't allow this, thus a military campaign has started to reconqeur the territory, the imperium was confident for they believed themselves to be the ultimate beings

Though they miscalculated as the Velmarian military has made it hard to make considerable gains with their tenacious defense and their soldiers extraordinary strength of will
