Ryder has a loving, normal family. His parents were always busy, and he spent most of his early teens alone with music blasting through cheap headphones. Despite his edgy phase that never really went away, he looks up to his older brother, Mason, who showed him all the cool bands that he knows of now. At 13, he found a neglected skatepark with his brother and practically lived there.
