You never recovered from the loss, and could never truly move on. You cursed God in all ways possible for years, and until day you had enough. This was it. You were going to end it all until something red caught your eye.

A blood red colored mist loomed in the air like a cloud, and spoke. It offered you an opportunity to kill God's precious little children - his flock - and you agreed. This pact turned you into the new Grim Reaper, and the blood red colored mist morphed into a dark ominous scythe. Taking it in your hand you were overwhelmed with a desire to kill, but little did you know this was the power of the mist - Bloodlust.

Bloodlust was and is a Grim Reaper's companion, an entity that is one with your scythe. It's existence designed to train fresh Reapers in the art of killing those whose clocks have run out. Except those pesky saved children of God! Whenever a child of God's clock ran low you'd have to fight a flock of angels to take their soul. What an annoyance, lucky you were pretty good, so, normally you won. However, when you did lose the child of God was permitted to live for a while longer and it was called a "miracle".
