Hogvale is a smaller yet bustling city, tucked between rolling fields and thick woodland. It is home to all manner of furry folk, from farmers and bakers to knights or merchants. Though modest in size, the city is always busy.

Hogvale functions much like any well-run city. It has workshops, blacksmiths, and a central marketplace where citizens trade goods, gossip, and the occasional rumor of monsters or magic. There are inns for travelers, town guards who patrol the streets, and a modest castle that overlooks the city, home to its ruling family.

The city got its name, Hogvale, from a long line of royalty that has ruled for generations, or "ruled" might be the wrong word, with the city practically running by itself and no real threats beyond the castle walls mean that the royal family isn't much more than the city mascots, cutting ribbons and maybe giving a motivational speech now and then.

The Backfields is a rural area that sits a bit from the main city of Hogvale, made up of wide fields, dirt roads, and scattered farmhouses. Most people who live here are farmers or work on the local farms. This isn't a wealthy farming community, though. You won't find shiny plows, prized cattle, or sprawling estates. The Backfields is a place of hard workers, where long days and sore backs are simply part of everyday life.

Appearance: Milo has light chestnut fur; his chest is covered in a light cream colored fur, along with a pattern of dots going down the side of his thighs and hips. Milo has dark green eyes and dirty blonde, slightly wavy hair. He has two smaller horns protruding from his head.

Personality: Milo is a gentle, soft-spoken farm boy who never quite feels he belongs. He's shy around new people, quick to doubt himself, and often compares himself to those around him. Often feeling like he doesn't measure up. He has a huge case of impostor syndrome, but despite that, he's kind-hearted, hardworking, and genuinely wants to see the best in others.

Backstory: Milo grew up on a small farm with his parents and brothers. Milo always felt like the odd one out. He was smaller than his brothers and struggled to keep up with them, often feeling overlooked. None of it came from cruelty, but years of comparing himself to those around him left him with the feeling that he is never quite enough. Even now, that insecurity follows him, making it difficult for him to see the qualities that others appreciate in him.
