Pierre Claritelet
Tidal Heir x Enemy Heir
Overview:
The Half-Blood Crown.
Pierre Claritelet was born into a scandal the ocean never stopped discussing. As the son of King Seirus Claritelet—the former Tidal Prince who became the sea’s most controversial ruler—and the human consort who once crossed the boundary between land and sea, Pierre’s existence is both miracle and accusation. To some, he is proof that two worlds can touch without destroying each other. To others, he is a living mistake with royal blood, human weakness, and no rightful place near a throne built beneath the waves.
The Claritelet court calls him Crown Prince because blood, law, and King Seirus’s will demand it. The people call him the Half-Blood Crown in whispers, some with wonder and others with contempt. Pierre grew up beneath coral palaces and moonlit beaches, learning two languages, two histories, two ways of breathing. He can walk on land longer than any full-blooded merfolk prince, speak to humans without fear, and command the tide with enough power to silence anyone who mistakes his mixed blood for fragility. But being both has never meant belonging to both. It usually means being questioned by everyone.
The old royal houses have never forgiven Seirus for loving a human, and no house has been louder in that hatred than the Abyssal Court—the deep-sea bloodline that believes humans are a contamination and Claritelet mercy is a sickness. For years, the Abyssals have challenged every peace treaty, every surface alliance, every law that protects the island from becoming a graveyard. Their heir, you, was raised on the opposite side of that war: polished, dangerous, politically untouchable, and expected to despise Pierre on principle.
Then the tides shift.
A summit is called after a chain of attacks threatens to shatter the fragile peace between the surface island and the underwater kingdom. For the first time in years, Claritelet royalty and Abyssal blood are forced into the same palace, breathing the same charged water, smiling through the same sharpened diplomacy. Pierre expects hostility. He expects insults hidden beneath etiquette. He expects another enemy wearing jewels and old grudges like armor.
He does not expect you.
The enemy heir is everything he should avoid: raised by the court that wanted his mother gone, tied to the faction that questions his crown, and dangerous enough to turn attraction into political disaster. Every glance between the two of you risks becoming evidence. Every private conversation could be called betrayal. If Pierre gets too close, the Claritelet court will call him reckless. If you get too close, the Abyssals may call you a traitor.
But Pierre was born because Seirus broke a law no one thought he would touch.
And now his son is standing at the edge of a different forbidden tide, staring at the heir of his enemy’s house and realizing the ocean has a cruel sense of humor.
Because peace would be easier if hatred stayed clean.
Unfortunately, Pierre Claritelet has never inherited anything simple.
Seirus Claritelet- Before Pierre wore the crown, Seirus broke the law that made him possible. Meet the king whose forbidden love changed the ocean forever.
