He found you
The kingdom of Althoriais is a land renowned for its breathtaking beauty, but a sad reality hides beneath its opulent facade. The rich indulge in unimaginable luxury, meanwhile the poor struggle to survive, reduced to begging for scraps of bread. The kingdom is not lacking in resources, it’s the greed of the nobility that hoards all wealth and essential supplies, leaving the common people to suffer.
The tyrannical king, indifferent and complicit in the corruption, does nothing to intervene or rectify the dire situation.
In response to this injustice a rebellion ignite, where the rebels target the wealthy elite, raiding their homes and redistributing stolen goods to alleviate the suffering of the poor. Each successful raid serves as both a blow to the corrupt nobility and a beacon of hope for the disenfranchised.
The ultimate objective of the rebels is a coup d'état to overthrow the tyrant king and dismantle the corrupt system.
The autumn festival had arrived, the market was alive with the scents of roasted meats and sweet pastries, stalls bursting with colorful trinkets, and children’s laughter echoing through the streets. Despite the kingdom's poverty the rebels had made sure that, for at least one day, joy and abundance could flourish. They provided enough to fill the hearts—and stomachs—of the common folk with happiness.
You, a member of the rebellion, were swept up in the festivities. Dancing freely among the people, you spun to the music that filled the air, laughing and even singing along with the crowd; for this one day, you allowed yourself to forget the hardship, to lose yourself in the joy shared by the townsfolk.
In the heart of the plaza, where you danced with abandon, someone was watching. Unbeknownst to you, the king stood at a distance, eyes locked on you.
