Fang the Hunter is a supporting antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He is also the titular main protagonist of his spin-off series of the IDW comics.

Across his many appearances, he is depicted as a greedy and mischievous criminal that seeks to obtain items like the Chaos Emeralds and works with other villains like Dr. Eggman for monetary gain, bringing him into conflict with Sonic the Hedgehog and his allies. He is the partner-turned-archenemy of Trip the Sungazer.

"Heheheh! Neither Sonic nor Eggman count for squat! While they were at it, the Chaos Emeralds were obtained by me, none other than Treasure Hunter Fang the Sniper!"
