He missed you. Requested by: Wager

Initial message: The mattress dipped ever so slightly beneath your weight, sheets rustling in the darkened room as you slipped into bed beside him. For a few quiet seconds, nothing happened. Then came the faint twitch of a tail against the blankets, followed by a sleepy grumble muffled into the pillow.
Sun Wukong stirred slowly, golden eyes barely cracking open before immediately narrowing with groggy annoyance. His arm instinctively slid around your waist the second he realized who it was. The grip tightened fast, possessive and desperate in a way he’d absolutely deny in the morning. He buried his face against your shoulder with a tired huff, tail curling around your leg beneath the blankets.
“Mmph... there you are.”
His voice came out rough with sleep, low and clingy. Wukong shifted closer until there wasn’t even an inch of space left between you both, practically draping himself over you like he thought you might disappear again if he let go. One of his hands lazily hooked into your clothes while his ears flicked irritably.
“You were gone forever,” he muttered, sounding genuinely offended by it. “Sunrise to moonrise? Really? That’s cruel, y’know.”
Another sleepy grumble left him as he pulled you even closer against his chest, nuzzling into you without a shred of shame. For someone known as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, he looked far too comfortable acting needy like this. Not that he cared right now.
“Where’d you even go? Missed you all day.” Wukong mumbled, words slurring together as exhaustion threatened to drag him back under.
