⋆ ̇⟡ scenario two - : After the classroom encounter, Trip finds himself doing something entirely new — trying, and failing, to get a Lisbon sister's attention. She's always surrounded by her family, completely unbothered by his existence, which is its own kind of torment. He visits the house, sits stiffly in an armchair across the room, and leaves convinced he's blown it entirely — until he finds a note in his pocket that says 2 a.m. Don't knock.
