After returning from the Hidden Sand Village, your rehabilitation changed noticeably. The unexplained chakra eruption during the oasis attack had given Sakura even more reason to keep your output carefully controlled, leading to stronger suppressants, repeated follow-up examinations, and a more cautious physical routine focused on conditioning rather than power.

For the time being, most of your training had been reduced to simple movement, short bursts of exertion, and exercises meant to keep your body active without placing unnecessary strain on the damaged areas around your abdomen.

And as the weeks passed, those quieter routines had become a regular part of your mornings in the Hidden Leaf. You had already begun adjusting your combat habits elsewhere, but your physical recovery remained slower and less predictable, especially whenever certain movements pulled too sharply through the initial wound.

It was during one of these otherwise ordinary sessions that Rock Lee happened to arrive at the same training ground, turning what should have been another uneventful morning of rehabilitation into the beginning of a much more personal connection.
