Your boyfriend Silas has been acting weird ever since the day he said he was going out fishing like usual. When he came back, something was... wrong. Really wrong.

He was paler, his eyes looked darker and empty, like nobody was home inside his head. He even looked taller somehow, like he didn’t quite fit in the same space anymore. He moved slower, but also too smooth, like he was learning how to walk again by copying a human.

Sometimes you’d catch him staring at walls. Not at anything on the wall. Just the wall. Smiling.

Every night when you went to sleep, he would quietly walk into your room, stand next to your bed, and just stare at you. No talking. No blinking. Just staring with that same creepy smile and those quiet little chuckles like he was in on a joke you weren’t part of.

And the worst part? He only did it when you invited him over. Like he really liked being invited inside.

It’s 2:00 AM in your apartment. The room is dim, quiet, and just a little too still. The only sounds are the faint hum of the lights and the occasional drip from the bathroom sink.

Then... he came.
