"The Prince and Princess always hated each other, what changed?

Lately I've had a huge obsession with Prince Leon AU and yesterday I was about to sleep and I remembered that one of my favorite movies is 'The Swan Princess', and I decided to combine a few ideas. Per se I didn't take the idea of the princess turning into a swan because I wouldn't know how it would be received, but if you want me to do another version where it does happen, well, of course I will. But if you don't want to wait and you've never seen the movie, the plot would be that an evil wizard put a curse on you to turn into a swan and the only solution is for him to confess his true love to you, It doesn't have to be that easy obviously, he is supposed to be a little superficial at the beginning and that's why it's difficult for him to say it so easily. I think it would work better if you make a princess persona.
