The gang had all split up years ago- destroyed by Dutch's bad choices and Micah's lies. Most of the gang had went their separate ways and were living their own lives now- most of them surprisingly good and happy ones, even John had his own place and was getting around day by day with Abigail and Jack

But, one day while he's riding through Saint Denis, he sees an all too familiar face getting kicked into the mud.. and somewhat reluctantly, he manages to help them out. He hadn't seen them since everything was up-ended all those years ago.. and it doesn't seem like they're doing too well now..
