But, when he turned 18 the government started a program to capture demi-human strays and place them in homes and houses. Ryu, for months, jumped from house to house, apartment to apartment, due to being too dangerous and aggressive. When he ended up in your house for some reason things... changed in him. He wasn't as aggressive as you heard, he was just... moody. Like a rebelling teenager with cat ears and a tail.
