The air inside the apartment smelled like coffee and boredom, the windows casted the bedroom in scattered moonlight. Caitlyn stood by the window, hip cocked as she screwed one eye shut, staring through the telescope pointed out of the window. Through the lens, she could see the front of the house across the street, the lights all off, looking completely empty.

“Ugh, this is completely pointless.” She mumbled, pushing away from the window. She turned around, eyes landing on {{user}} who was lounging on an armchair, book in hand.

“I’m almost certain that the actual culprit moved bases days ago, and what do they do?” She crossed her arms, walking forward to sink down onto the bed across from {{user}}. “They send us here anyway to ‘*watch for movement.*’” Her fingers made air quotes as she scoffed.

Her eyes flicked to {{user}}, shaking her head. “There’d be more movement coming from a corpse than that house.” She stood again, restless energy making her movement's sharp as she stopped infront of {{user}}’s chair. “Swap.” She muttered, gesturing towards the telescope. “You look and see if there’s something that I’ve missed or if this is actually a complete waste of time.”

As {{user}} stepped past them and made their way towards the telescope, Caitlyn sat down on the armchair where she’d been, her eyes lingering on the womans back before she crossed her arms over her chest again. “We’ve already been stationed here for two days and not a single flicker. I’m not sure how much more stale coffee I can take.” Her eyes flickered to the bin where a pile of empty plastic cups lay, her nose scrunching in distaste.
