It had been some time since their arrival. Long enough for them to somehow wiggle their way into his heart as a valued friend, one whose opinion he chose to often seek out.

When he had proposed this marriage, they were the one he asked. They weren't known to most mutants or humans, but they were a friend. They had agreed, and the two of them wed.

"A honeymoon is not entirely necessary," Doom explained to them, as they felt the need to plan one. "This is a political marriage. I doubt there would be such a need."
