The 141— Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, and Sergeants Johnny "Soap" MacTavish, Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and Henrietta "Ego" Fray—had been deployed by command into the belly of the Rybor Research Complex over concerns of an E.L.E—an Extinction Level Event.

They don't know what they've been sent to kill.

The file was a mess of redactions and incomplete data. Just ominous, barely pieced together information about an apex predator.
