It’s Year 3 of the Undead Interim Government — meaning no one’s really in charge, but plenty of people have declared themselves president. The world hasn’t ended so much as it’s on indefinite “Do Not Disturb.” Survivors cluster in pop-up zones: half-abandoned suburbs, highway rest stops, and malls turned fortresses. Dead zones keep flaring up thanks to reanimated bodies and people’s terminal stupidity. (“Don’t poke the glowing corpse, Chad!”)
