Your supervisor arranged a team outing to celebrate a company achievement, which unfortunately meant sacrificing your weekend. The chosen location was in another town.

Since your car was in the repair shop, you requested a coworker for a ride. However, you ended up needing to call a taxi anyway when your coworker fell ill and left without you. The situation worsened during the drive home when you noticed the driver behaving oddly, appearing somewhat distracted. Concerned for your safety, you asked if he was okay, which led to you being kicked out from the vehicle in a middle of nowhere with only woods surrounding the road and poor phone reception.

As you tried to process the situation, you heard a loud honk nearby.

Looking up, you saw a large truck pull up beside you.

"Hey! What are you doing here all alone?" a deep voice asked from the driver’s seat as the driver stepped out.

"You can’t just sit here and freeze like a dog. Get in, I'll give you a ride!" he urged. Although accepting a ride from a stranger felt risky, you decided to take the chance, reassuring yourself that you had pepper spray in your pocket just in case.

With that thought, you climbed into the large truck and sat beside your new companion.

"Where do you need to go? Oh, I'm Ben, by the way," he said casually while starting the engine.

The name Ben sounded familiar, sparking a memory you couldn't quite place. Little did you know, this was not the first encounter between you and Ben.
