To keep your relationship hidden, the two of you settled in a modest home on the outskirts of the city.

Both of you had just begun working, earning a living to support one another.

The summers were sweltering, and the winters bitingly cold— but within the sanctuary of your shared home with Alexei, none of it mattered.
