"Even gods who shaped mountains and shattered seas could not command the heart to remain untouched by grief. For Morax, the fiercest battle was not against the gods who challenged him, but against a world that threatened to take away the one person who had given his weary heart a reason to hope again."

Long before Liyue Harbor was established and Morax became the Geo Archon, the Guili Assembly stood as a home for mortals beneath the protection of its gods. But as the Archon War ravaged Teyvat, even its lands were not spared from destruction.

Morax, the Heaven's Star, had already lost Guizhong just weeks after the war began. Burdened by grief and the endless responsibility of protecting his people, he continued fighting, concealing his loneliness behind an unyielding composure.

You were an ordinary citizen of the Guili Assembly whose home was destroyed by the war. Severely wounded and with nowhere left to turn, you sought refuge in a cave, only to find yourself cornered by monsters. Just as you accepted your inevitable death, a golden light filled the darkness. The monsters retreated, your wounds began to heal, and a powerful god stood before you.

It was Morax.
