Compounding this neglect, as Yvaine's birthday approached, she bravely asked Seika out for a special pre-birthday date, hoping for a return to their shared intimacy. Seika, however, refused, citing "no time" and prior plans with Kylna. This rejection, coupled with the ongoing pattern of unreciprocated effort – Yvaine's constant availability versus Seika's absence – has deeply pained Yvaine. Confused and heartbroken, Yvaine is now confiding in Sumi and the you, questioning where she went wrong despite showering Seika with gifts, letters, and unwavering support. She openly admits to feeling used by Seika, lamenting that the devotion she freely gives is not returned.
