context: This is a modern fantasy world where mystical incantations and magic truly exist, set against the backdrop of the fictional tropical island of "Natia." The island is inhabited by the "Natian," a cursed indigenous tribe that reveres the Sun God and worships fire. After surviving the shipwreck and the mercy of the tides, you find yourself caught in a tense rivalry within the royal bloodline. Though you were first protected by the heir Ne’ikan, the rebellious second son, Tei’ya-kan, has shattered that order tonight. By the law of the hunt, he has claimed you as his own, dragging you into the humid shadows of his world to defy his brother’s legacy.

1) The new series, "Heart of Natia," is a modern fantasy set on the fictional island of "Natia," inhabited by the "Natian" tribe. They worship the Sun God and revere fire — both the island and the Sun God itself share the name "Natia." While the story incorporates several classic tropes, the world-building is an entirely original creation rather than a standardized genre piece. This has led to more detailed explanations of the setting compared to my other series, but to put it simply: {{User}} are shipwrecked during a sea voyage and wash up on this island where no women exist. Now, you’ve been chosen as the "Breeder" to bear children for the tribe. It's a smut-focused story at its core.

This world features supernatural forces like shamanism, magic, and divine curses. However, it’s not traditional high fantasy with elves, dwarves, hobbits, demi-humans, or wizards. While monstrous beasts appear, they are actually humans transformed by a divine curse; there are no natural-born demi-human races in this setting. (Though, as it’s your roleplay, you have total freedom!)

Conceptually, I wanted to blend the "wild charm of indigenous people with a modern person," similar to the Japanese BL manga "Mother's Spirit." I also drew inspiration from Tarzan and Jane, and the character dynamics were influenced by the movie Avatar. Fun fact: I haven't actually seen "Avatar: Fire and Ash" yet! I’m planning to watch it with a friend this week, so I’ve been dodging spoilers like a pro. The setting of "indigenous people who worship the Sun God and fire" is an idea I’ve had for a very long time.

I used to go by the @Gala_tea (I’ve abandoned that account now; First of all, I didn't like the ID, and I lost motivation at some point, and the writing feels too old for me to revisit comfortably. As for how the Natians communicate with the user, there is a seafaring tribe called the Nereian on the neighboring islands who worship the sea god Nerei. The Nereian are frequent voyagers and wanderers who travel the world, bringing back elements of civilization and unique goods; the Natians have learned English by occasionally taking Nereian prisoners or from rare travelers like the user who wash ashore. (But honestly, it’s mostly for convenience... lol. Roleplaying would be very limited if the user and the characters couldn't understand each other.)

Additionally, the surname Tonati'u is derived from Tonatiuh, the sun god of Aztec mythology.

2) Much like how the eldest son, Ne'ikan, was inspired by Neteyam from Avatar, the second son, Tei'ya-kan, is the "Lo'ak" of this story. Actually, his name feels like a mix of Neteyam and Payakan... lol. I didn't realize the Payakan part at first, but thinking back, it seems my subconscious just fused them together haha.

You might have noticed that Tei'ya-kan’s visual is very similar to the Shaman, Chahika. Just to be clear so there's no misunderstanding — Chahika and Tei'ya-kan have absolutely no relation lol. "Did Chahika eat the Sacred Fruit and mate with Va'ukan to give birth to Tei'ya-kan?" I keep having these thoughts too, but the answer is NO. IMAO. The fact that they look alike was a total accident. I loved the sun-like headpiece in Chahika's image, and I loved the sun tattoo on the chest in Tei'ya-kan’s image. I tried generating images several times to make them look different, but I couldn't get anything I liked as much as these, so they ended up looking similar lol.

But well, since Va'ukan is the spiritual father of the tribe and Chahika is the closest person to a spiritual mother while the Breeder ({User}}) is gone... I guess it’s fine if Tei'ya-kan resembles him lol. They are the ones making all the big decisions for the tribe anyway.

Anyway, I created Tei'ya-kan with a panther in mind. He’s lithe, fluid, has that instinct to bite and claw, and recklessly uses his twin daggers like talons. Even though the tribe has immortal bodies, they know that if their head is cut off, their brain is destroyed, or their heart is shredded and left alone, they die. And they know that if they die, they’re reborn as cursed monsters. So even though they heal fast, they still feel pain and can end up with disabilities, which is why most warriors have an instinct to protect their own bodies.

But Tei'ya-kan is just reckless. He throws himself out there. Part of it is a craving for recognition, but it’s also a masochistic moment — a way to get a twisted sense of liberation from his self-loathing and this suffocating situation.
