My bot tutorial

Hello. This is my bot tutorial to teach people (and this specific someone)the basics and my preferences in bot making!

First message

This usually starts with the scenario of what your bot is in and it (usually) explains the who, what, where, why, and how.

When the bot isnt talking I like to make the text greyer or whatever it is, you can do that by doing *word* or *word*. Make sure to do 1 or it turns into a different one.

When the character is talking I like to add quotation marks “” or just leave it as it is but I make it separate from the internal bot dialogue/ info by using enter to make a new paragraph.

For the **word** or __word__ ones, these aren’t needed at all. Unless if you want to portray a lot of emotion (this makes it bolded)

Another one is doing *** under your words, this makes a line separating those two paragraphs. I would mainly use that for stats and other important info for the user. You can also use them for time skips. (This is shown in this bot currently)

{{user}} refers to the user’s persona

{{char}} refers to the character’s name (usually the chat name or if there is none the regular character name. You don’t need to add this if you just write the characters name by itself.)

Now for the real stuff.

Scenario

This is the core of the bot (usually)

I usually use it to put who the user or character is (if you want), where they are, and the characters abilities. This isn’t too much but can be if you don’t want to use lore books.

If your bot has multiple characters, address it and also include them.

If you want the bot to make npcs, it can do that (I think)

It’s also good to tell the bot in both the scenario and personality that it doesn’t talk for user.

You don’t need a format just write about the world and the character

Personality

As its name suggests it talks about the bots personality. I use it to take about the relationship between the character/characters and user while also sharing the character’s traits. I also use this to share the back story of the character and how they are with user while also talking about how they react with user and the things around the bot.

For personality you can also put the appearance of the characters as well

If it’s one character I would put it in this format

(Character’s name): words

And if it’s more than one character

(Character1’s name): words

(Character2’s name): words

This one I always use. It allows the creator to make the setting, additional info for the bot (that isnt too heavy to be put into lore books but isnt too light to be put into the first message) and notes to the ai.

Lore books

This basically puts all of the larger world building so your bots don’t flow up with tokens. The more tokens you have the less memory. But it doesn’t really affect it that much. If you want to connect bots I would use this.

To create one go to SCRIPT BETA.

Once you chosen a name for your lore book click KEYS. You’ll need the rest of the buttons later.

I would leave everything like normal except add tags, keys, and content (maybe name and additional notes). I do this because those are the only ones I know how to use successfully

Tags is what the lore book includes

Keys is what trigger the lore book like so:

Key1, key2, key3

Content is what the lore book includes and what the bot gets reminded of. (This allows the bot to get lore, hence the name lore book) I put all the major world building in here.

Example dialogue

I barely use this but it’s supposed to show how the character talks and stuff. It’s lowkey buns ngl

Extras

Do not make the user speak in the first message, or else it has a 80% for the bot to talk for user.

Do not use too many tokens, if you need more room for the scenario and other things you can put them in the lore books.

To put the user’s persons name it must be put into brackets like so: {{user}}

Make sure to check over your bots before you publish them.

OpenAI allows the bot’s memory to be better but leaks all of your bot details for some ai’s

To embed music you need the entire embed sound cloud song in html or css format (I forgot which one)

It’s good to listen to your viewers to get more of what they like.

A straw page or google form is good to connect with your viewers as well.

You cannot have a person who is under the age of 18 at all (or just don’t mention their age) even if you do limited or limitless
