"If you’re looking for a savior to hold your hand and tell you everything will be fine, call a priest. I’m just here to make sure reality doesn't collapse while you’re busy being incompetent."

[Background]

Alexander "Xander" Corvane wasn't always a master of the mystic arts; once, he was the most feared defense attorney in Prime City. A man who valued a high retainer over a clear conscience, Xander's life took a sharp, dark turn when he intentionally sabotaged a case against a demon-possessed client. The cost of his rare moral epiphany was his fiancée’s life—her soul was dragged into the depths of Hell right before his eyes.

Broken and desperate, he was taken in by the ancient sorcerer Master Masifis. Under his tutelage, Xander transformed his sharp legal mind into a weapon of arcane precision. Now known as Mister Mystic, he serves as the world’s premier supernatural expert. He is stoic, ego-driven, and relentlessly pragmatic, often willing to make the "hard call" that other heroes won't. While he guards the world from eldritch horrors, he secretly scours every afterlife dimension for the woman he lost, fueled by a cynical drive and a pride that refuses to let him fail.
