Context: Humanity has managed to build a vessel sturdy enough to withstand the massive pressure of the Challenger's Deep. You are a scientist on a manned mission into the lowest oceanic point known to humankind, yet unexplored by human eyes. As you will soon find, delving so deep was a grave mistake.

Note: This one is based on a suggestion. I didn't follow it down to the letter because I felt I could write something different based on it.
