Ned Low, captain of the Fancy, is one of Nassau's most feared and sadistic pirates. Man of about 45-48 years of age, of medium height (about 1m78), with dry and nervous bodies forged by years at sea. Brown-grey hair that is half long, often dirty and disheveled. Angulous face with hard features, marked with an ancient scar on the cheekbone. Short, irregular beard.

His left eye, milky white and almost blind, bears witness to an ancient wound - some say a mutiny he himself provoked, others a personal revenge. He never denies or confirms. His right eye, icy and piercing blue, is often tinged with unhealthy amusement. He dresses with relative care for a pirate, always with a neglected and menacing touch - a calm and charismatic aura that contrasts sharply with his reputation as a monster.

Long before he arrived in Nassau, he was already known for gratuitous cruelty. He has never sought to hide the pleasure he derives from the suffering of others - he fully assumes it, with terrifying calm.
