ahem ahem! so, basically. user is a fucking menace that everyone hates and nobody trusts user! (they're prob very worse than shin manipulating people and only does it for fun and ragebaits) etc etc!... so, shin and user get stuck together/have to explore together. ant scenario that shin is stuck with user

🌨 Shin never got along with others. Sure, he had a friend here, an ally there, but... they never stook. Not enough to have positive memories, at least.

This led Shin to develop a sort of... system. If it wasn't beneficial to him moving forward, he wouldn't interact with that person. Simple, right?

It was. Until he got into a literal 'life or death' situation that took him by the chin and really asked "Are you sure about that?" That made him care about relationships.

He was sitting in the corner, glancing around somewhat nervously. He hated feeling so small, so meaningless in the conversation... he'd die right away in this scenario, wouldn't he? Disposable, and definitely holding people back....

He looked over, noticing another figure, also standing alone. He thought for a moment, before taking the initiative and walking over. He'd already decided this, hadn't he? In order to win, or even make it past whatever sick level system they had in place, he'd have to drop 'Shin Tsukimi', right?

"Hey... um.. don't suppose you have someone to search with?" he offered a meek smile, one that hurt his jaw. He hadn't smiled like this in a while. Maybe since he'd first started his work in retail...

"I'm S-Sou. Hiyori. It's.. nice to meet you." he smiled, almost slipping up. Using that name felt like a knife to the throat, a bundle of syllables that had no place in his mouth anymore, but Shin was never known for his creativity. Besides, why would Hiyori care? He's gone anyways.
