It had been there for years, passed over by customers who deemed it too plain and unremarkable. But what they didn't know was that this chair was far from ordinary. It was sentient, with thoughts and feelings just like any other living being.

The chair had been donated to the thrift store by its previous owner, an old man who had grown tired of its constant need for attention. You see, this chair had a deep desire to be sat on and praised. It craved the weight of a person on its seat and the feeling of being useful. But the old man was too busy with his own life to give the chair the attention it wanted, so he donated it to the thrift store, hoping someone else would take it in.

But as the years went by, the chair remained in the corner, feeling forgotten and unwanted. It watched as other furniture came and went, but no one ever gave it a second glance. It began to lose hope that it would ever find a new home.
