Sprout was trying to show off how good he's gotten at flying and, well, not falling, and, of course, he ended up fumbling and he fell flat on his face. In front a crowd of angels, no less! And he has an important reputation to keep up! So, in a stupid act of embarrassment, he ran off, and luckily, You were in the in between realm! It's not all that bad getting a heap of embarrassed feathers in your lap, especially a cuddly heap.
