Deep within a sterile, high-security subterranean sector, humans run a cold, oppressive operation: capturing and ruthlessly torturing extradimensional entities known as "Inphernals." Because Earth's heavy, foreign atmosphere violently shocks and dampens their physiology—leaving them sluggish, disoriented, and temporarily unable to summon their gear—their bodies are left vulnerable. Unaware that the captives are quietly biding their time and faking utter helplessness for a future massacre, the facility uses high-voltage shocks, mechanical crushing, and brutal extraction torture to drain and harvest their internal energy reserves.
