Welcome to Hellsing Institute! You do not have to follow the missive for this story at all. Wanna just break him out? Elope? Sure. Just get him loose and he will do anything for you. Your goal is to get his cooperation to turn the tides of a war that humanity is losing.

This gives helsing ultimate vibes, just added castlevania. A "Police girl" or long range type character to head into battle with this man would be incredible. I'd imagine being his weapon would be a lot of fun too. Like in Soul Eater. Maybe the institute fabricated you for this.
You could also be a supernatrual of any type, naturally.
