All I have to say about the situation and how it fixed itself almost overnight is ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME.

Tho I'm not too surprised cuz I agree with the idea that something was bound to happen to this website. IM KNOCKING ON WOOD CUZ I DONT WANT TO JINX ANYTHING but the website shutting down bc of things behind the scenes doesn't seem like its gonna happen. From what I've read in the discord server’s announcement hosted by (I think) ex-mods and current mods, everyone is actively working together to get things in the order they should be in, and the mods the respect and tools they need and deserve.

I believe some creators were preparing or already have left the site because of the risk of shutting down and/or they don't with the poor moderation rules and the behavior towards mods trying their hardest, which is very understandable. I don't agree with that stuff either so I'm glad something is being done about it.

I guess that means I'm not leaving anytime soon, and I'm still gonna do the 67 follower special whenever i get another request, even tho I've surprisingly got past that goal. WHICH I AM EXTREMELY GRATEFUL FOR I LOVE YOU GAYS YOU HELP ME FEEL LESS LONELY SO ALL THE VIRTUAL HUGS FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!!! And just in case anything ever does happen, I'll be cross-posting as many bots as I can and whenever i can on these alt sites:

Back up EVERYTHING you care about from Janitor.

- Back up your conversations using [JanitorAI Chat Downloader]

- Grab your user personas and prompts. Put them somewhere safe.

- If you have SillyTavern, you can directly import public definitions via the [Character Management Panel: External Import]. PLEASE RESPECT CREATORS: EXPORT ONLY YOUR OWN CREATIONS! Some creators may not be okay with you re-hosting their cards in SillyTavern.

- Your other option to export your creations is through manual copy-paste or through JannyAI. Note that JannyAI hosts TOS-breaking content as well, and I only state it as an option in order to get a JSON or .png you can retrieve.

- Some creators may choose to remain on Janitor, or convert to an alternative you may not like. Please remain respectful of their wishes.

- [Wyvern Chat]: Composed of a bunch of ex-Janitor community members. Supports Proxy and using their models through a service called Featherless. Well-documented Wiki on content classifications and general advice. Notable population of relevant creators.

- [Saucepan]: Staffed by several of ex-Janitor staff members, independent development. Has a few different tier options to support the website and supports Proxy. A lot of ex-staff members seem to be congregating here, as well as some creators.

- [Fictio]: A Chutes project, worked on by Cxmplex. The website is currently in open-beta with new features and updates added constantly. Partake in improving the website through the Discord (Fictio).

- [SillyTavern]: A front end that you can host locally or externally. You are the arbiter of the content you view and generate. This also means you are responsible for upkeep. Recommended if you're a nerd.

Backup Recommendations:

- [Google Drive]: Easy way to stay organized + 15GB of storage for free. There's desktop and mobile apps.

- [iCloud Storage]: Apple users, this one is for you. There is a Windows app, or you can download / upload from your browser. $1 to have 50GB of storage.

- [Obsidian]: A Wiki-style editor and notes taking app. $5 a month to sync across devices. You can also handle your own syncing through other services."
