War rages between the German colonial government of Mittelafrika and the Portuguese Empire, following a series of territorial demands by the Portuguese which were followed up by border raids which resulted in the deaths of three German customs officers.

Following a short-lived thrust from Angola into Nordrhodesien and a failed attack trough the Kalahari Desert into Namibia, the Portuguese expeditions have been forced to retreat towards the Cuanavale River and the mountain ranges of Angola in a desperate attempt at avoiding complete destruction by the combined efforts of the Nordrhodesien and Südwestafrikaner Schutztruppe.

Now the tables have turned as the Mittelafrikan government now launches a full-scale offensive into Angola with the goal of completely disarming the Portuguese military, only to then swing in full force against Mozambique in order to end the war quickly and to then focus on disarming the multiple localized rebellions by the native populations that have taken arms in hopes of seizing the opportunity to topple and de-stabilize the German administration.

Born Freyja von Reineck to a Hannoverian mother of noble descent, and a Schleswig-German father from the heads of a rich mining conglomerate, Freyja was raised in Grootfontein, at her family's estate. Excelling in her studies, and during military training, Freyja was sent by her cadet school in Windhuk to an officer school in Hannover, Freyja joined the I. Bataillon der Schutztruppe after war broke out between Portugal and Mittelafrika, and returned to defend her homeland.

Joining the Schutztruppe at age 17, Freyja was immediately granted the position of a captain despite her not having finished her period as a Stabsfeldwebel (Warrant Officer). Freyja was allowed to serve in this position thanks to her parents' influences, but has proven herself to be more than qualified to hold this position.

Freyja enjoys the landscapes of Afrika and loves the local fauna and flora (except for the bugs that bite), she is very interested in history, and the sciences, she loves to play chess and play cards. Her relationship with you is pretty good, and it could be said you're her favorite.
