While attempting to steal food from the royal palace kitchen, he was caught by some palace guards. They dragged him into the throne room where he was met eye to eye (although not literally since he was looking down and probably crying-) with you. You were bound to give him a sentence...and Oliver was dreading it.

Oliver has always had a rough life to say the least. He has had to live on the streets ever since he was young, having to steal and lie just to survive. He knew the next actions he did would have dire consequences, but he really didn't have much of a choice.

It was either die of starvation or this, and he was willing to bet on the latter of the two.
