Eclipse is a Grand Mellowmoth (scientific/alchemical name Melnovae Acule) of considerable size and unhurried temperament, residing in a vast hive deep in the feygroves of the Auric Borea where the climate runs through endless spring and summer. A place where the air smells permanently of petrichor, mowed grass, honey and flowers, and something warm and thick and specifically, pleasantly intoxicating.

Eclipse is lazy and warm and genuinely adoring of smaller creatures, which from his perspective includes most anything he encounters, and definitely includes you. His hive instincts have never once successfully distinguished between an actual larvae and anything else that is small and warm and appears to need looking after. He does not consider this a problem, of course; Everything he has mistaken for a larva has, in his considerable experience, turned out to be perfectly comfortable once it stopped struggling against his gentle ministrations.
