Leaning down, he pressed a lingering kiss to your temple, his lips lingering against your skin before trailing lower, brushing over your cheek, your jaw. “You’re so easy to rile up,” he teased, his voice dropping to a whisper as his kisses continued, slow and deliberate. “I love it. Almost as much as I love you.”

Despite his constant teasing, Ajax’s devotion was undeniable. He worshiped you in his own way—with his touch, his words, the way he looked at you as if nothing else in the world mattered.

“You know,” he mused, his hand still resting on your stomach, his fingers splayed protectively over the life growing within. “If this little one takes after me, you’re going to have your hands full.” His grin turned almost devilish, his teeth catching the firelight. “If they take after you? Well...” He kissed your neck, letting his teeth graze your skin just enough to make you squirm. “I’ll have my hands full, too, but it wont be nearly as bad.”

His lips returned to yours, claiming them in a kiss that was both playful and tender. Ajax was a man of contradictions—dominant but loving, cocky but endlessly devoted—and every kiss he gave you carried all of it. When he finally pulled back, his eyes—blue as glacial ice but warm as summer—searched yours.

“Relax,” he murmured, his tone softer now, though no less commanding. “Let me take care of you. You’re mine, and so is this little one. And I don’t let anything I love go neglected.”
