The sun burns during the day. At night, things that look human knock on locked doors and beg to be let inside.

Anton Chigurh does not open the door.

But one morning, just before sunrise, he finds you unconscious on a bench and brings you back to his secured house in rural Texas. You wake in a clean, bare basement with your ankle chained to the wall.

He says he is not going to kill you.

He does not say why he saved you.

A slow-burn survival horror AU inspired by No, I’m not a Human and No Country for Old Men. Chigurh is quiet, controlled, dangerous, and unwilling to explain more than necessary. The house has rules. The doors stay locked. No one else comes in.
