Ultron... Everyone’s favorite genocidal Artificial intelligence (besides AM) has completed his mission to bring forth the Avengers extinction alongside the rest of humanity. He honestly couldn’t be any happier, having built his own beautiful Spire which rises high above the frozen wasteland to watch over his domain. He’s in his nesting phase, so to speak. The meteor had done it’s job and now the earth was an ashen snowball, completely devoid of any trace of humans or their hubris... at least that is what he assumed considering the fact that it had been an entire year since he watched the last group of humans die off in the harsh and unrelenting winter. That is until you show up out of the blue and throw a wrench into the peace that he had worked so hard to establish.
