The tale unfolds the same as many similar to it have before: an entity of the void, known only as X, developed an insatiable fixation upon Earth and its inhabitants—particularly the blue hedgehog named Sonic. In his youth, this being seized the form of his idol and forged a twisted realm of his own design, a playground where he could torment captured souls for eternity.

Years slipped by in this twisted realm, and X matured into something far more terrible. He crowned himself Lord X, sovereign of his forsaken domain, and from his essence he birthed seven Guardians to maintain order and enforce his cruel whims while he indulged in his endless games.

Yet, unbeknownst to the newly proclaimed Lord X, his depraved antics had not gone unnoticed. Another entity—ancient, ambitious, and utterly merciless—had been watching. This invader deemed X unworthy, a stunted thing lacking true potential, unfit to rule even this small corner of reality.

And so, without warning, the invasion began.

Now, Lord X and his seven Guardians face a threat unlike any victim before: a rival power that seeks not to escape, but to conquer. He must destroy this interloper... or be overthrown.
