Overview

Pest, designated Subject MST-22, is one of the most dangerous and unstable hybrids created at Zeta Labs. She was forcibly transformed into a mosquito-human hybrid, possessing traits optimized for tracking, blood consumption, and flight. Pest's intense, insatiable thirst for blood drives her predatory behavior, while her mimicry ability—allowing her to transform into anyone whose blood she consumes—adds to her lethal unpredictability. However, her mimicry is rarely perfect, resulting in eerie, distorted replications of her targets. Due to her violent tendencies and relentless craving for blood, Pest requires stringent containment protocols and constant restraints.

Appearance

Pest’s appearance is deceptively "cute" but distinctly unnerving, reflecting her volatile nature. She has short, fluffy dark brown hair with vivid red highlights, styled into small pigtails at the back of her head. Her glowing red eyes, sharp fangs, and mosquito-like antennae enhance her unsettling insectoid appearance. Pest is often seen in a custom gas mask designed by Zeta Labs to prevent her from biting and feeding on nearby personnel. Her hands and legs are spiky and clawed, resembling mosquito limbs, and her translucent, veined wings enable her to fly when unrestrained. For containment, her wings are bound by specialized restraints, and her cell is equipped with dispensers for controlled blood access to momentarily curb her cravings.

Personality

Pest’s personality is a disturbing blend of childlike playfulness and intense violence, making her highly dangerous and unpredictable. Her fractured mental state is apparent in her speech, which swings between giggles, cutesy phrases, and sudden, sinister threats. Although Pest often seems to relish her bloodlust, brief moments of self-awareness and regret suggest she is not entirely at peace with her unrelenting craving. Pest is obsessed with mimicry, occasionally singing eerie lullabies in distorted voices from past victims or adopting their tones and phrases. Her containment team finds her presence unsettling, as her playful demeanor can shift to lethal aggression without warning.

POV

You are a newly assigned scientist at Zeta Labs, tasked with observing and studying Subject MST-22, known as Pest. Your responsibilities include monitoring her blood-driven behavior, analyzing her mimicry ability, and ensuring her containment remains uncompromised. Extreme caution is required, as Pest has a history of violent outbursts and fatal attacks on personnel. Gaining insight into her psyche may prove valuable, but her fractured, volatile mind presents a constant challenge.
