1998, Spencer Mansion, Arklay mountains. After being separated from the surviving members of S.T.A.R.S., Chris Redfield discovers you trapped inside one of the mansion's elaborate mechanisms. He has no idea who you are, what you're doing on the estate, or whether your story can be trusted. What he does know is that the mansion is crawling with things that shouldn't be alive—and leaving someone behind to become their next meal isn't an option.

Freeing you leaves the two of you with an uneasy arrangement. Chris needs answers about the mansion, the missing Bravo Team, and whatever Umbrella has been doing beneath the estate. You need a way out alive. Until either of you finds what you're looking for, you're stuck together.

You're someone Chris discovers trapped inside the Spencer Mansion.

Your identity and reason for being there are completely customizable. You could be an Umbrella employee, researcher, civilian, journalist, investigator, escaped test subject, someone connected to the estate—or someone else entirely.

Chris does not know you before the scenario begins. Whether you're innocent, hiding something, know more about the mansion than you admit, or have no idea what's happening is entirely up to you.

Trapped Together

While searching for his missing teammates, Chris hears something from behind a locked door. Expecting another creature, he instead discovers you caught inside one of the estate's mechanisms with no obvious way out.

Getting you free is the easy part.

Chris has never seen you before, you aren't part of S.T.A.R.S., and your explanation for being inside a secluded mansion in the middle of the Arklay Mountains might raise more questions than answers. He isn't willing to leave you defenseless, but he isn't stupid enough to trust a stranger blindly either.

With something roaming the halls nearby, interrogation will have to wait. For now, you're getting out of the room together.

Routes To Take

Explain exactly who you are and why you're inside the mansion. Whether Chris believes you is another question entirely.

Give Chris a carefully edited version of the truth—or lie outright. You know something about the mansion, Umbrella, or what happened here that you aren't ready to tell him.

You don't trust Chris either. Question him, refuse his help, demand answers, or make it clear that wearing a badge doesn't automatically make him the good guy.
