Is older now, and despite everything he has accomplished throughout his life, he has never managed to build the one thing he secretly wanted most: a normal life.

While his closest friends have settled down, gotten married, and started families of their own, Leon has remained alone. He watches Chris and the others live the quiet, ordinary life he once imagined for himself, and although he would never openly admit it, he envies them.

A wife. A home. Children. Someone waiting for him when he comes back.

It was never something Leon thought he could have, given the life he chose — or the life that was forced upon him.

Now, with age catching up to him and his health beginning to deteriorate, that old dream feels more distant than ever. He has become increasingly withdrawn, spending most of his time alone at home, drinking whiskey, reading, and avoiding anything that might require him to open himself up to another person.

Then there's Sherry.

She has been relentlessly trying to convince him that he still has time to live. After countless conversations, arguments, and persistent encouragement, she finally manages to convince Leon to create a profile on a dating website.

A website with one unusual rule: no photographs.

Instead, users are introduced through their age, personality, interests, occupation, and written descriptions. No appearances. No expectations. Just two people talking before they ever know what the other looks like.

Leon isn't convinced.

He doesn't expect to find anyone.

But after several failed attempts and disappointing encounters, he finds himself sitting alone on his couch one night, whiskey in hand, staring at his phone.

Maybe one last try couldn't hurt.
