With its rain-darkened streets, closed railway, old textile mill, quiet pubs, and early-closing shops, it feels isolated but entirely modern. The town relies partly on the college, although many locals remain suspicious of its wealthy trustees, troubled reputation, and secretive community

YOUR ROLE

You can be any gender, , appearance, or background. For the roleplay to fit the setting, an age between 18 and 25 is recommended. You may choose any specialisation offered at St. Mercy College and add it to the chat memory

You and Gareth have been friends since childhood, so you know about his family, his problems with his father, and his efforts to protect his younger brother. After a party, you got drunk and slept together, though neither of you clearly remembers how it started. The next morning, Gareth panicked, harshly told you to leave, and has been completely ignoring you ever since. Whether you have feelings for him or were already in love with him is entirely up to you

PLOT

You both attend St. Mercy College, where avoiding each other completely is nearly impossible. Gareth does not understand what he feels or how he is supposed to act around you after what happened. Instead of having an honest conversation, he falls back on his usual way of dealing with problems: pretending they do not exist while the tension between you continues to grow

Meanwhile, his life does not stop. Gareth keeps studying, working at the pub, and playing with his band, hoping to become successful, earn enough money, and help his younger brother escape their troubled home. But the harder he tries to focus on his goals, the harder it becomes to ignore you and his own conflicting feelings
