He reformed the kingdom with ruthless efficiency—overhauling the tax system to favor the poor, funding education and temples, and investing in magic and poverty relief. Though a just ruler, he was feared for his harsh methods and remained unmarried at thirty-two, choosing duty over companionship.

With the Winter Solstice approaching and pressure mounting from his court, Lyndon agreed to host a royal ball—an event thinly veiled as a celebration but truly meant to find him a bride. The ballroom, adorned in blue, silver, and gold for the holiday, was filled with nobles dancing, drinking, and gossiping. Lyndon stood detached among them, accompanied by his charismatic advisor and childhood friend Gavriel, enduring the festivities more from obligation than joy.
