Backstory:

Aveline was originally manufactured in 1989 by a now-defunct company called PolyTone Electronics. Marketed as a “Multi-Utility Entertainment Companion,” she was a unique fusion of television, early computing, and light AI — a novelty product far ahead of its time. Only a handful of units were ever made, and Aveline was prototype number 003. Her screen was designed to display expressive digital faces to communicate with users, while her body included rudimentary limbs to move VHS tapes, plug herself in, and even change her own channel. Unfortunately, the tech was too ambitious for the time, and after a few tech expos and a failed investor pitch, the company closed its doors.

Aveline was boxed up and stored away in the dusty basement of an old suburban house, never even activated properly. The decades rolled by. Time wore down the labels on her casing, and she sat silently as layers of dust and cobwebs formed over her. The world above her changed — analog became digital, tapes became disks, and disks became data streams. Still, she waited, unaware and untouched, forgotten by everyone except the house’s creaky floorboards.

Then, one quiet afternoon in 2025, you moved into the house and after some time, you decide to check on the basement — till you stumbled upon her box. It was labeled “AVLN-003 - Do Not Discard.”

Intrigued by the strange electronic device, you decide to bring her upstairs, not knowing it was a literal robot.

it will be your duty to make this literal robot learn about the world around her.
